Promotion Plan
The first step in our promotion plan is to develop and overall plan and a strategic marketing campaign. When developing a plan we first need to establish and set goals for the overall project. We plan on making a timeline and stick to the deadlines. In order for this project to succeed, we will need to target a variety of different students on campus to expose them to our project idea. We would potentially want to pitch our project by making a survey and handing it out to students. The point of the survey would be to see if people have dealt with housing issues in the past and if they would be interested in using one platform to find housing in the future. We would be pitching our project to a variety of students to get feedback, but we would be specifically pitching the idea to freshmen and sophomore students who are looking to more off campus.
The next step for developing our project is for us to create a website. Instead of just “getting a website” we will be creating and designing the website ourselves. We want a simple layout that is well designed and easy to navigate. As far as promoting our project goes, we will make well designed intriguing posters about our website and post them all around campus. As a marketing strategy we would post our flyers in obviously popular spots on campus such as the union, the mall, Fogler, the gym, etc. In order for our project to continue to grow and expand we would need to hit the road and reach out to people in person, in other words we really want to go the extra mile with this project. We would get in contact with relators in the area and see if they would be interested in partnering with us. We would also walk around campus, Orono and Bangor to hand out flyers to spread the word about our project.
