Trulia is an online residential real estate site for home buyers, sellers, renters and real estate professionals. It lists properties for sale and rent as well as tools and information needed to be successful in the home search process.

Under Apt for rent, various postings can be found for orono and surrounding area.

Text only posting of various types of housing, mostly in Bangor area but also in surrounding towns.

The UMaine Off-campus site offers a variety of different methods of finding housing from the UMaine renters fair to the off campus housing listing and even the FirstClass conference which contains some postings.

FirstClass Conference: Roommates and Apts (No Link)

University members with a FirstClass account post apartments for rent or sublease and search for roommates by using this FirstClass conference.

Although some of these websites have some of the same aspects that our idea entails, none of the websites maintain updated, allowing users to find out if a specific property has already been rented or not. Almost all of these options also leave out many of the various listing because certain realty companies in the area only have their posting on their own site, and we want to expand that to our site making it easier for users.
