Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving day has arrived and my mom is preparing the turkey. The kitchen is full of amazing smells, tastes and people. This Thanksgiving, I had the idea to cook our family turkey in our pizza oven that we bought for our backyard. The pizza oven is a real brick oven and cooks pizza at a high heat. I thought it would be a good idea to cook the turkey in the pizza oven so the turkey could be more flavorful. It was nice being able to cook the turkey outdoors. While we waited for guests I spent a lot of time outside waiting for the turkey. I’d smell the rich flavors of the turkey and feel the brisk air against my face. It was nice to get out of the kitchen and cook in my own backyard where I felt connected to nature.
